What in the world.....?

The name of this blog arose from the question I seem to ask most often. What in the world is going on here? What in the world are you doing? What in the world are they thinking? What in the world am I doing? What in the world will God call me to dive into next? As Yule Brinner said in the movie "The King and I,"     "etcetera, etcetera, etcetera."

I really don't know why I suddenly decided to start doing a blog except that I was invited to do so while perusing the terrific blog of a niece of mine who moved from the city to the outback in the middle of the hinterlands of Florida and somehow grows wonderful and nutritious vegetables out of the sand, raises chickens and multiplies cats.

Maybe I thought that the 17 irons I have in the fire already were not enough to keep my mind occupied. They say, "The idle mind is the devil's playground." With all the areas of endeavor my mind is into, it's surprising the devil can find a way in (which of course he does since, while we try to live for the moment, the devil lives for every spare second.)

My niece's blog is both practical and inspirational and I'm not at all sure this one will be either. She is into photography, cooking, bread-making, agriculture, enjoying nature, her husband "Country Boy" who is an EMT working to save lives when he's not busy being the family comedian, and cats. (I have only one. I've never been able to count all of theirs at one time.) I on the other hand am into cooking, avoiding bread making, making disciples of men and being "the preacher's wife."

I guess you and I will just have to see What in the World.....? this blog becomes .
